They allow the product to perfectly maintain its quality conditions and also allow a fast and hygienic work

The ageing step is the last one in the cheese processing process, and it is of crucial importance to take care of the environmental aspects, for example, the moisture, temperature or ventilation. With TEPSA crates for cheese not only environmental benefits are achieved, but also the hygiene, the working conditions and the economic savings are improved, making the cheese ageing process much more efficient.

This new crate model for cheese processing owns numerous advantages, both economic and functional:

Available with perforated or smooth bottom

The perforations on the bottom of the crate allow the lower side of the cheese to “breath”. Unless a grate with legs is placed under the cheese, it is desirable to use crates with perforated bottoms.

European pallet measurements

LThe 80x40cm size is compatible when palletising with the Europallet measurements (80×120 cm), this characteristic allows you to take the maximum advantage of the space for transport and cheese storage. We also have a wide range of European size pallets approved for food use available in our catalog.

Crossed stacking

The crossed stacking is to place the crates alternating their position on the pallet, this way the crates are “intertwined” when stacking and really stable crates towers are formed. With this characteristic the need of wrapping pallets with stretch film is avoided, in contrast to other models that need to do that because of safety reasons.

Crossed stacking gives much more stability to crate columns.

Nestable when empty and stackable with product inside

The 50% nestable TEPSA crates nest or stack depending on their position. They allow to save 50% of the space when nesting because half of the crate above is inside the crate underneath. In addition, this model has a rib system on its top rim which makes the staking much easier allowing the crate above to slide over the one below until the first one fits into the rib system of the second one remaining fixed over it.

Compliance with health regulations

Dairy products are delicate and require an exhaustive monitoring of the environment and containers used throughout the process. TEPSA plastic crates for cheese are manufactured in Polyethylene, an inert, waterproof and non-toxic material with well-known antibacterial properties. All this makes the Polyethylene perfect to be used with all type of foods, particularly, with dairy products. Our containers are manufactured in the European Union and we own all the health certificates which prove that they are approved for food contact (study of migration, sanitary registration…)

Reasonable price and quality service

TEPSA belongs to Grupo Plásticos Ferro, leader in the Iberian Peninsula in the manufacturing of plastic pipes and is the main Polyethylene consumer in Spain. This allows us to have much more adjusted costs compared to other manufacturers of plastic boxes. We also have a network of warehouses in Spain and France, as well as a fleet of trucks that allow us to serve our customers quickly and at affordable prices
